Unforgettable and Intimate

While Memory Lane Heritage Village mostly provides visitors with the unforgettable experience of “Taking a Stroll Back in Time to the 1940s”, it can also host a variety of smaller events. The rural, idyllic setting beside the Dufferin Pond, is just 50 minutes from Halifax on the Eastern Shore, in the small community of Lake Charlotte. Award winning inns and affordable accommodation is nearby. Community owned and operated, Memory Lane is ideally suited to intimate gatherings, although larger events of several hundred can also be accommodatedby using adjacent buildings. All buildings are within walking distance of each other inside fenced and secure private grounds with trees, a lake, and picnic / play area. The 1940s cookhouse has a licensed private bar, and can prepare a variety of authentic heritage mealsas well as its famous “CookhouseChow”. The heritage nature of some of the buildings is particularly suited to craft workshops, while other buildings can support meetings and presentations. The Village’s Church (built in 1894) is perfect for weddings and other ceremonies. For more detailed information and rates please email us at memorylane@ns.sympatico.ca
